Interesting things i see with my phone or point and shoot camera. Again, I’m no photographer. I leave that up to Teresa Peek, Gloe, and K.C. Ortiz.

chicago graffiti tags 1985
The definate collection of Chicago’s graffiti history was not well documented as the history of New York City was. Its history has been told many times verbatim, and the abc crew site is full of gems. Im always searching for more information on the history of the artform that made me who I am, and in my search I came across Pamela Rice now from New York who took artistic pictures of Chicago graf tags circa 1983-1986. Heres some never before seen pictures from that era, all courtesy and copyright of Pamela Rice.
obama portrait flashback
It feels like fall is in the air early here in Chicago (actually it has been one of the most mild summers that I can remember). It was almost a year ago when I painted the portrait of pre-presidential Obama. Here are some photos by K.C. Ortiz of the preparation, painting, finished painting, and the great exposure that the artwork received.
random signage 1
The gaps between posts have become quite long, and I’ll try to rectify that soon. Meanwhile, I am not a photographer and I am not trying to be one, I just take pictures to document interesting things. With that being said; this is just a small batch of completely random signage pictures I’ve taken over the years…
